I think something mcball currently misses is weekly events.
I have an idea of a cool squad-based feature that would make being in a squad actually usefull and also create a possibility for a weekly event.
Idea: A new gamemode, held once a week (in the weekend) for 30 min.
Teams are formed by which squad you are on, the winning squad of last week has to defend their castle (I think Medieval times would be really fitting for this idea). The other squads will try to attack and cap the flag (maybe there should be another way of taking over the castle, but I think capping the flag works aswell), the squad to cap the flag takes over the flag.
This will repeat untill the timer runs out, the squad that is defending when the timer runs out wins.
There should also be some rewards for the squad that wins the event, like maybe website points, PP, a special particle that they can keep as long as they hold the castle to make people actually participiate in these weekly events.
Reason why this would be a good update (imo):
It would make a weekly event, bringing old and new players together, events are something that are currently missing and this type of event doesn't need a lot of work and preparation from the staff every week once it is made. ( I mean that not every individual event needs staff preparing it)
It would also finally give the squad system a use. Over the history of mcball squads have not really been actively used since it never has had a use.
