It's like, every time I log back in here after a while there's bound to be a thread like this. MCBall has apparently been "dying" for like the past 2 years, yet it's still up.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I liked it when I was actually good. I'm not worthy of my diamond helmet anymore. I guess that's what not playing does to you.

It's not only that. It's also because the community grow more competitive and better skilled. Back in the old days you could easily 1v5 a full team of leathers or even irons. Now try it against 2 or 3, and you're doomed. It has stopped the flow of constant killstreaks, but it has brought more challenge and strats to the game.

I still like the game very much, but the lack of really starting a good competitive game breaks me. I like tourney matches very much, because it involves communication and strats rather then casually outskill a player. (Admitted I get somewhat to heated up on tourney matches). The casual gameplay gets a little boring overtime. We could organize some competitive matches without having it in a tourney scheme or having a real competition, but just competitive without anything at stake.

What would help aswell is if enough players join the game and join teamspeak. Then divide teamspeak in red/blue. That way you get actual communication with teammembers. This might also stimulate and help new tourney teams arise and perform (nearly) as good as the exsisting 'veteran' teams.

The coding isn't the problem, you need a massive player-base to make that kind of strategy effective. More competitiveness would be cool though.
