About the exploit, I do it all the time on accident because I punch the walls and stuff in the outbox. lol
It's not a huge deal in my opinion as there's usually nothing to hit within the first 5 seconds of your spawn. I'm not saying you should use it, but no one will notice if you do. I don't even notice when I do it.
Really, most of the people on this server probably do this without realizing it. If you just shoot in the deathbox, punch things, etc. , it's very likely that you'll end up spawning in while you're still reloading.
