What is Considered Cheating?

Do not exploit glitches to gain an advantage or to disrupt gameplay. 1.3. Do not use any scripts or programs that affect gameplay (including, but not limited to, gaming mouse functions and auto-clickers). I think you know what cheating is. Using anything that gains you an unfair advantage over another player like xray, minimap, playeresp, tracers, macros, throw hacks, etc... is cheating and against the rules. NinjaCurlyfry Posts: 343 Likes: +876 LEVEL 0	I have actually answered this multiple times before (on this thread and this thread) Here it is again! :3 Spoiler: Show Guideline to whether something is considered cheating: If you are using software or hardware that alters the way Minecraft works by default, then you are cheating. Examples of cheating with software includes: autoclicker, xray, aimbot, etc. Examples of cheating with hardware includes: macros, multiple mice, multiple attack/right click buttons, etc. F5, hitboxes, jitterclicking, teamwork, etc. are not considered cheating because they are not modifying Minecraft in any way. These things are either features built into Minecraft (F5 and hitboxes), or techniques (teamwork and jitterclicking) which everyone has access to, and anyone can use without modifying anything. Not everyone has a trackpad, a mouse with programmable buttons, hacks, etc. This is why they are considered cheating. If macros were built into Minecraft, or xray was a standard feature, then using them would not be considered cheating. So, the deciding factor is this: If you have modified Minecraft in any way, whether that be with hardware or software, then you are cheating. Some forms of cheating may give a huge advantage, others may not. However, it is still cheating nonetheless. Note:There are modifications that can be made to your client that some servers may allow. For example, MCBall allows the use of these mods: -Optifine -Shaders -Too Many Items/Not Enough Items -Smart Cursor -Advanced HUD -Minecraft Forge -Replay Mod Different servers have different guidelines and different mods which are allowed. You must check with the server's rules before you play using a hardware or software modification of any kind. (This includes texture packs, client mods, macros, etc.) Maybe I should make it easier to understand and post it as a separate thread. Idk. Thank you for your time! Funny story: I downloaded Labymod for PvP purposes for 1.8 combat. It has a bunch of things that make 1.8 PvP feel more like 1.7 PvP, like reverting the blocking animation and full body coloration. I assumed it would have no effect on MCBall, and left all my mods on for the game. I was halfway through my first game on MCBall with it on when I realized all the little tags I saw running around were players, and my damage indicator mod was actually creating nametags above members of the other team as well as my own. After I realized I switched it off, but it is in fact possible to accidentally cheat. Do you fear death? I used to advertise my Youtube here but all I post on it now is vids of people hacking ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Posted May 15, 16
