I am still highly in favor of a better overall stat configuration.
Instead of just K/d - your player score should be based on K/d, flag captures, flag returns, games won vs games lost, - and yes I think shot accuracy would be a fantastic stat to have added in.
K'd is such a tiny part of the games. It is past time for a more rounded set of stats. The K/d stat being the only one people feel is important - because its the only one that matters to your score - turns people into jerks. People feel that in order to do well they have to camp people. The problems this server sees with camping and turtling is getting increasingly bad. It will also cause a lot of new players to think this isn't a very fun place to play. Can you imagine logging in to your first game ever, and never getting away from spawn because some a*holes in gold and diamond helmets are standing where you spawn and taking you out? You would log back out and delete the server from your list.
The problem is getting worse. I used to love playing here. And some nights I log in and people are being awesome, the games are fun and I have a blast. But more so now, I log in, spend a few minutes dying rapidly from people in my base area - OR spend a few minutes bored watching my team camp the other team - and log back out.
Also, the K/d score is very inaccurate at showing how good or bad you are at MCBall. Having a high K/d doesn't mean you are the best MCBall player. It is a very empty stat, because it is incomplete. It is one tiny part of the over all game.
TL/DR: Having a more well rounded scoring system will create better games, will discourage camping, and create a better overall server atmosphere. It also is a much better indicator of how good you actually are in MCBall CTF.
